A journalist for the past twenty years, Rajendra B. Aklekar has two things on his mind the railways and Bombay. He started his career with Rusi Karanjia s firebrand The Daily, where he used to run a weekly column on the history of Bombay s railway stations. Take a refreshing walk through nature after it's had a nice long drink!

In vivid photographs and sparse, yet action-filled text, April Pulley Sayre reveals the wonderful watered world after a rain shower. With rich curricular connections to weather, the water cycle, plants, and animals, as well as a grammar focus on verbs, this is a staple in the PK-1 classroom. This is a great introduction to nonfiction for young readers. However, the timeless, gorgeous photos will dazzle any age and spark research, as well. If you would like to take a refreshing walk through nature after it's had a nice long drink, this book will put you in the experience.

Amazing!

I hope you'll forgive me if I gush here a little bit. The photographs in this book are absolutely stunning. The incredible detail in the photos just blows my mind. I felt like I could reach out and touch the rain drops. You can actually see the fibers on the leaves. I could almost smell the fresh air that always comes with rain. The poetry is just as wonderful as the photographs, describing in just a handful of words what is happening in each photograph. Many different plants and animals and displayed here in all their glory. I think my favorite photograph was the one that shows a reflection of a branch in a rain drop. The author also does the reader a favor by describing at the end the science behind rain and the water cycle. There are also some great references to other books and websites that have additional information. An incredible book that is perfect for sharing or just for enjoying.

This is a stunning book! The photographs are amazing, especially the ones where the raindrops reflect surrounding images. The text is lyrical. Children will enjoy finding the hidden elements in some of the photos, which I learned about on the author's website. The perfect marriage of photos and text!

Exactly what i needed

I didn't expect it to be so tiny. The guide is about the size of the game case. But it came with everything i was looking for, answers to some of the obscure pop quiz questions, the correct responses when building social links. Worth the buy.

This guide is great for helping you get through the day to day basics of the game, from detailed social link quests, to quiz and test answers. It includes a complete list for items, personas, beastiary, and skills. However, even with 3 authors and 2 editors, this guide is not without its flaws. You will still find yourself scavenging internet forums and blogs for more answers 10% of the time.

First of all, rather than a detailed persona fusion guide, they provide you with a chart that reads like a spreadsheet, which merely lists arcana types. Its design is not its downfall. Rather, it's the specific data (or lack thereof) that makes this chart unappealing. Basically, it shows you what the resulting arcana type of your perona will be when fusing this type of arcana with that type of arcana. (eg., If you fuse a persona of the moon arcana with that of an empress arcana, the end result will be a persona of the lovers arcana). This is a minor help at best. A better chart would tell you the exact persona you would create when fusing other specific personas togeather. Sure, you are provided with a complete list of personas in this book. There's just no specifics on how to create them. With as much detail that went into the rest of this guide, I really feel Double Jump sort of "double jumped" over this one. Ironic, no?

Speaking of specific details, this brings me to my second point: Requests! Most of these are accurate. Most meaning less than 100%, which I find odd due to the fact I had to pay 100% of the sticker price for this thing. It's not like I found it in the discount bin or anything of the sort. Some of the requests require you to create certain personas with a specific ability. These can be rather difficult to create. While this guide does provide in great detail the steps required to do so, I have found one request so far that this guide is entirely incorrect on. And that is quest #23, Create Orthrus with Dodge Slash. Their fusion recipe was wrong. Completing this quest opens up quest #29. So, off to the internet I went, searching for an answer the guide should have provided. It's a sad day when you have to resort to using white-out in a strategy guide to make a correction. Did I mention that I paid full price for this guide?

Last and least, this guide still contains its share of typos and misspellings. Considering the things I mentioned above, this should come as no surprise. Nor does it impede you from using and understanding what they are telling you. Hell, if you can read through the horrible grammar on internet forums and understand what people are saying, then this book should be no trouble at all.

Overall, this guide was worth the $19.99 I spent on it. But, the $19.99 plus tax was pushing it. Get the guide. It will help. While it's quicker to find most of your answers in the book, it will not prevent you from digging around the internet for more. They should have slapped the "Mature" rating on this guide as it will "create adult language".

About the Author
Michel Wedel (1957) is Professor of Marketing Research at the Department of Economics, University of Groningen, The Netherlands.

Rik Pieters is Professor of Marketing in the Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TISEM) of Tilburg University, the Netherlands. He received his PhD in social psychology from the University of Leiden in 1989. Rik believes in interdisciplinary work, and that imagination, persistence and openness to surprise are a person's biggest assets. He has published over 90 articles in marketing, psychology, economics, and statistics. His work has appeared in Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Management Science, and International Journal of Research in Marketing. He has published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, European Journal of Social Psychology, Emotion, Psychological Science, Journal of Economic Literature. His research concerns attention and memory processes in marketing communication, and the role of emotions in consumer decision making. He has served as Co-Chair of the Association for Consumer Research annual conference, and has co-organized special conferences on visual marketing, social communication, and service marketing and management. He has taught internationally at Pennsylvania State University, University of Innsbruck, Austria, Koc University, Turkey, and the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He has been Strategy Director for National and International clients at the Prad/FCB advertising agency, Amsterdam office. He bakes bread, rides bikes, and drinks hoppy, fermented barley beverages, all except the first in moderation.
