Loved The Hero!

The story is about the marriage of a Highland Laird's daughter to the English Lord across the border for the sake of peace. The entire story is short and takes place over about two days. The premise was different and I liked that. Normally it is the English girl having to marry the Highland Laird. The English Lord in the story was written to be a great guy and definitely lovable.
The heroine is dead set against the marriage because she doesn't want to marry a guy who is English. That is her only real complaint. However, she is VERY resistant up until the last few pages. I did find myself a little frustrated that for all that resistance and drama, she made an about-face very quickly.
There are a few grammar things I noticed. Also, the heroine is said to be 18 in the afternoon and she is 19 by that night. The mistakes were not so numerous that it annoyed me, but I did notice it (grammar issues seem to be so prevalent in ebooks these days that I may just be getting used to them).
For 99 cents it is an entertaining short read. I would recommend it to someone looking for a short romance at a nice price.

Back when marriages were arranged, biddable woman had no choice but abide by her father's decision as to the groom. Not so our Scottish bride-to-be. She takes a horse and rides until she comes to an inn where she gets herself a room. Within minutes her bridegroom comes striding into the room. After some conversation minds a d bodies meet. There's to be a wedding the next day!

very exciting but too short

Great story but so much more to explore. What about the backgrounds and other relationships in their lives? What happens after they wed? This story is like a sample.
