Rebecca De Medeiros- Born and raised as a California girl, now transplanted into Iowa's blustery winters, dreams longingly of sandy beaches and palm trees. That is, when she has the time to dream between controlling the chaos known only as the De Medeiros household and plotting her next crazy scheme. Thankfully, she is married to the most supportive, loving husband. He even believes her when she promises to be both a best seller and the next week's lottery winner. With two young children, two hyper puppies and a household chock full of laundry to fold- a supportive husband comes in handy when she forgets to defrost something for dinner because she is wrapped up in her work. He is the true inspiration to her romantic soul. Rebecca takes great pride in coming from a long line of strong, determined women. She credits (blames) them for encouraging her to pick up her first pen and writing down what was on her mind. Brilliant 3rd book in series!

It's been a little while coming but so worth the wait!
All my favourite characters are there again and the atmosphere in Liberty,Texas is as perfect as ever with a new B*@!$ to take Trudy's place and a downtrodden sister who will undoubtedly earn her own story very soon (well, here's hoping!)
The author tackles the subject of disability with great sensitivity while wrapping us up in a hard story of love, lust, betrayal and deceit. I enjoyed all the usual shenanigans of the town busy bodies, who get well and truly put in their place by the strength of Mathias' true friends and family.
A brilliant 3rd in a series that I hope will run and run!

Excellent addition to Ms De Mederiros' written work

Great story. Wonderful to read by itself but more fun if you read the first two. That way you already feel at home with all of the characters. Some characters you love, some you love to hate but all well done. One couple needs a book to finish their story and the sheriff needs his story told. I would like to visit this town but will settle for reading the next book. Wish it had been longer but then I feel that way about all of the really interesting books I read.

You have to read this book if you read the first 2. It was really good. Trudy started out spoiled, bratty, and a pain in the butt. Who would have believed that Mathias would be her salvation. I do think the author let Trudy's mother and brother off too easy, and what's the story with Hunter and
what's going to happen with Daisy and her sister Etta. I do hope there's are going to be more books about these characters.
